Since the 1980s, the study of Romance of the Three Kingdoms editions had made great progress. As far as the headstream of edition evolvement is concerned, Jiajing First year published edition is the oldest edition in existence, but whether it is the edition most close to Luo Guanzhong's original one, there are two different viewpoints in the research community currently. Most investigators admit that "historical novel " and "biography"——two edition systems coexist, but they differ on the priority. The papers will take the oldest edition in existence——Jianyang the History of the Three Kingdoms , Ye Fengchun edition as the study subject, based on previous research results of Romance of the Three Kingdoms , referring to Jiajing First year edition, Tang Bingyin edition, Liu Longtian edition, and Huang Zhengfu edition, together with along texts, from aspects of words, segment, detail descriptions, name, placename, time, quotative poem, comments, print characters, and do comparison study. The papers try to excavate the sameness and difference on the system and context between Ye Fengchun edition and Jiajing First year edition, emphasize the characters and feature of the Ye Fengchun edition, explore the relationship between subsequent various editions of Jianyang "biography" and Ye Fengchun edition, discuss Ye Fengchun edition's status and value among the Romance of the Three Kingdoms editions, and to bring forward own views on the relationship of Romance of the Three Kingdoms editions.
