Objective: To investigate the effects of different doses of dexmedetomidine combined with sufentanil on patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA) after cesarean section. Methods: A total of 160 patients who undergo cesarean delivery under combined spinal and epidural anesthesia(CSEA) in our hospital from January to June in 2015 were included in our study. They are ASA gradeⅠ~Ⅱand voluntary use venous analgetic pump after sugery. The patients were randomly divided into 4 groups: C group(sufentai 0.04 μg/kg/h); D1 group(sufentanil 0.04 μg/kg/h + dexmedetomidine 0.03 μg/kg/h); D2 group(sufentanil 0.04 μg/kg/h + dexmedetomidine 0.06 μg/kg/h); D3 group(sufentanil 0.04 μg/kg/h + dexmedetomidine 0.09 μg/kg/h).Results: Considering the VAS scores and Ramsay scores at postoperative 6 h, 24 h, 36 h, Group C took the top, followed by Group D1, Group D2, Group D3. And the differences are statistically significant(P<0.05). With regard to PCA number and PCA sufentanil extra consumption at any given time, Group C took all the top, all followed by Group D1, Group D2, Group D3. It is different for each group about adverse reaction rates, as follows: Group C have the highest rate(27.5%), followed by Group D1(12.5%), Group D2(2.5%), Group D3(7.5%). And the difference among groups has statically significance(Fisher P<0.0001). Satisfaction scores(more scores, less satisfaction) among different groups have statistical significance, F= 16.77, P= 0.000; Group D2 and Group D3 got the lowest score, followed by Group D1, Group C.Conclusion: moderate-dose(0.06 μg/kg/h) dexmedetomidine combined with sufentanil can significantly improve the sedation and analgesia effect of patient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA) after cesarean section, and minimize the adverse reactions.
