With the increasingly serious Chinese population aging, the number of patients with age-related diseases is growing rapidly. Among them, the morbidity and prevalence rate of Parkinson’s disease also enter the hitherto unknown "golden period". Therefore, how to correctly assess the impact on individual with Parkinson’s disease and formulate the reasonable measures to bring various negative effects to a minimum is not only the urgent need to be solved, is also a long-term strategy to save.Rating scale method is widely used to evaluate the motor function of patients with PD in clinic. But this method is easily affected by subjective factors of doctor, and the subtle changes of motor function in patients are not easy to be perceived. In order to evaluate the motor function of patients objective efficiently. This paper designs a motor function evaluation system based on body sensor networks technology. The system mainly consists of hardware and software components. The hardware part is the human motion data acquisition system, witch includes data acquisition terminal and data receiving end.The data acquisition terminal consists of five data collection nodes. The collection nodes are worn around the waist of the body, the wrists of the left and right hand, and the ankle in the left and right ankle for collecting the three axis acceleration signal and three axis angular velocity signal when the patient is doing the experiment. The data receiving end is connected with the computer through USB and is used for receiving and transmitting the experimental data. The software of the system is based on the development of MFC technology to achieve, and the software is mainly used for the maintenance and management of the PD patient information. The software not only crud the patient’s personal information, but also handle and analyze the experimental data. The balance parameter, walk characteristic parameters, symmetry, coordination and joint activity parameters of the upper and lower limbs are calculated finally to evaluate the movement function of human body. In addition, in order to improve the efficiency of the motor function evaluation system, a simple and representative experimental paradigm action were designed after many experiments testing analysis. The set of action including walk, flip the wrist continuously, stand up and sit down repeatedly, standing still, sit and lift legs.At last, in order to verify the accuracy and reliability of the system, this paper respectively collected and analyzed the experimental data of healthy young, healthy elderly patients and PD. The experimental results show that the system not only meet the requirements of the system also assist doctors to diagnose patients and guide the rehabilitation program. The system provides a new idea for the evaluation of motor function in patients with PD. |
