Application Of Light-Weight Mesh In Sandwich Tension Free Hernia Repair

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the result of application of light-weight mesh in sandwich tension free hernia repair and the effect of pain and other complications.METHODS:It was a prospective randomized single-blind study. A total of 200 inguinal hernia patients of Gansu provincial hospital were performed tension-free reparation of sandwich procedure. UHS and PHS mesh were randomized implanted into every patient. The patients were followed up at 1 month,3 month,6 month and 12 months after operation to compare.RESULTS:Compared with the conventional PHS, UHS mesh may cause lower pain rate and extension of chronic pain at 3 and 6 month after operation and the approximative recurrence rate and other complications.CONCLUSION:UHS mesh can alleviate chronic pain after operation so as to improve the life quality of patients and their experiences of mesh.
