| Objective:People in many different nationalities lived in Yunnan Province. There are some dramatically differences between minorities and Han nationality such as lifestyle.genetic background, social culture, dietary structure, religious beliefs, customs and so on.It is confirmed that the differences exist not only in physiological and biochemical indexes, but also influence disease susceptibility.Nowadays, most laboratories take Han nationality as main population of testing projects or use the reagent instruction as criterion. This study aims to provide relevant evidences in building reference range which conform to the actual situation for each laboratory. Methods:A total of 507 samples were selected in Yuanjiang Xian,Yuxi City in July 2014, while 217 cases were Dai Nationality (67cases in male,31%,150cases in female,69%,with average age of 47.51±10.04),123 cases were Hani Nationality (54cases in male,44%,69cases in female,56%,with average age of 50.29±14.79) and 167 cases of Yi Nationality (74cases in male,44%,93cases in female,56%,with average age of 43.78±11.35).A total of 269 cases in Han Nationality were from health examination population of Hongta District (141cases in male,52%,128cases in female,48%,with average age of 46.68±11.88).We carried out a statistical analysis of gender, age, height, weight, blood pressure, smoking or drinking habits, eating habits and family history of the targeted people in form of questionnaires. We also tested the fasting serum total cholesterol (TC),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), apolipoprotein Al (ApoAl),low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), apolipoprotein B100(ApoB100),lipoprotein a (Lp(a)),uric acid (UA)and homocysteine (Hcy),total bilirubin(TBIL),direct bilirubin(DBIL),indirect bilirubin (IBIL) and glutamyltranspeptidase (γ-GT).We established a database for statistical analysis. Measurement data are expressed in x±s.Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to test the mean of multi-samples,two independent samples t-test was used to compare the average between the two groups, rank sum test was used to categorical data, respectively.Test level of alpha equals 0.05.Results:There are significant differences of physiological and biochemical indicators among the three minorities and Han nationality in BMI, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, ApoA1, ApoB100, Lp(a), UA, Hcy except for γ-GT(P=0.05).There are also huge differences of physiological, biochemical indicators among males among various minorities in BMI, Lp(a), γ-GT, TBIL, DBIL, TC, HDL-C, ApoA1, ApoB100, UA, Hcy, IBIL, and blood pressure, smoking habits or drinking habits, eating habits and family history except for LDL-C(P=0.73). Moreover, there are significant differences of physiological, biochemical indicators among females among various minorities in BMI, TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, ApoA1, ApoB100, Lp(a), UA, Hcy, TBIL, DBIL, IBIL and blood pressure, drinking habits, eating habits and family history except for γ-GT(P=0.40)and somking habits(P=0.43).Conclusion:It is proved that differences of minorities exist in those biochemical indicators among Dai Nationality, Hani Nationality, Yi Nationality and Han Nationality inYanjiang Xian, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province. The reference range should be established in accordance with the national characteristics respectively. |
