Research About Community Mental Health Services In Kunming:the Perspctive Of Supply And Demand Relation

With the development of social economy, the influence of mental health on public health is more and more important. The increasing number of psychiatric patients and some social problems caused by mental illness makes improving mental health level more and more urgent.This paper is based on the framework of the mental health service supplier and demander, the dimension of the population health literacy of the mental health services demander and the social support and job satisfaction of supplier. By Investigating and researching separately on the main urban areas of community residents and some hospital medical staff of the Kunming City, the aim is to understand the needs of mental health services demand and the problems of supply side, in order to find out the method of supply-demand adaption in order to improve the level of mental health.By understanding the medical staff of some psychiatric hospital and community residents in Kunming through "The city community mental health and mental health knowledge questionnaire and mental illness related attitude questionnaire "and "The psychiatric medical personnel social support and job satisfaction questionnaire" analyzing collected data by SPSS 17.0 software, we can see that the score of mental health knowledge of community residents is in the middle level in Kunming, there are significant differences of the awareness rate between urban and rural areas or different occupations; the attitude to mental illness, on the whole are in the middle level also, the difference is statistically significant in gender, and with the decline of cultural level, attitude for tolerance decreased after the rise; In Kunming, part hospitals’medical staffs social support and job satisfaction are in the middle level, there is a significant positive correlation between the degree of social support and job satisfaction, social support degree of difference in age and title has statistical significance, the medical staff of psychiatric social support degree is slightly higher than that of non psychiatric medical staff, job satisfaction has significant difference between the medical staff of psychiatric and non psychiatric. Based on the analysis of the results, guided by the health promotion theory, five aspects of public policy, environment, health service orientation, community and individual are suggested to improve the mental health level of Kunming city.
