ObjectiveThis research hopes to study the relationship between acupuncture Lieque(L7) point with cervical muscle tension, muscle fatigue, change of cervical mobility degree and change of pain degree. In order to explore the mechanism of acupuncture Lieque in patients with cervical type of cervical spondylosis, provide the theory basis of modern medicine about "Lieque treating disease in head and cervical vertebra" and acupuncture Lieque in patients with cervical type of cervical spondylosis.Methods60 patients with cervical type of cervical spondylosis were selected as research subjects. They were randomly divided into acupuncture Lieque point group, the routine acupuncture group and acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group. Evaluated their muscle tension, muscle fatigue, cervical mobility and the pain degree by surface electromyogram(SEMG), multifunctional cervical vertebra rehabilitation system (MCU) and visual analogue scores(VAS). Researched variability relationship between acupuncture Lieque with cervical muscle tension, muscle fatigue, cervical mobility and pain degree, to illustrate the mechanism that the curative effect of acupuncture Lieque in patients with cervical type of cervical spondylosis.Results1. VAS score results:acupuncture Lieque point group can effectively reduce VAS score in patients with cervical (P<0.05), but its extent was less than routine acupuncture group and the acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group. The difference of VAS score between routine acupuncture group and the acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group was nonsignificant (P>0.05).2.SEMG results:acupuncture Lieque point group effectively improved the MF, MPF and IEMG of bilateral trapezius muscle (P<0.05), but the degree of improvement is less than the routine acupuncture group and the acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group. The curative effect of acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group is better than the routine acupuncture group (P<0.05). Compared with bilateral sternocleidomastoid, the acupuncture Lieque point group didn’t improve the MF, MPF and IEMG effectively (P>0.05), while the routine acupuncture group and the acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group improved the MF, MPF and IEMG of bilateral sternocleidomastoid effectively (P<0.05), and there was no difference between two groups’curative effect(P>0.05).3. Cervical mobility results:acupuncture Lieque point group effectively increased the cervical mobility of left and right lateral flexion (P<0.05), but the degree of increase was less than the routine acupuncture group and the acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group. The acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group is better than routine acupuncture group (P<0.05). Besides, acupuncture Lieque point group cannot increase cervical anteflexion, stretch and activity degree of rotation effectively (P> 0.05), the routine acupuncture group and acupuncture Lieque point combine with routine acupuncture group increased cervical anteflexion, stretch and activity degree of rotation effectively (P<0.05), and there was no difference between two groups (P>0.05).ConclusionAcupuncture Lieque can act on the trapezius muscle to improve its muscle tone and improve cervical vertebra activity degree of left and right lateral flexion, as well as relieve muscle fatigue, so as to reduce the pain on neck type of cervical spondylosis patients, and to eventually achieve the remote effect for the treatment of disease.
