The Epidemiological Characteristics And Risk Factors For Upper Urinary Stone: A Case-Control Study In Guangxi Region

Objective To investigate the risk factors of the upper urinary stones in Guangxi area, and to provide the evidence for prophylaxis.Methods Case-control study were conduct.1091 cases and 1003 controls were surveyed for the baseline characteristics and the questionnaire. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis were performed for screening the high risk factors of the upper urinary stones.Results Smoking(OR=2.59,95%CI:2.05-3.28), hypertension(OR=3.54, 95%CI:2.62-4.79), nephritis or nephrotic syndrome history (OR=4.27, 95%CI;1.45-12.64), gout history (OR=3.04,95%CI:1.81-5.12), familial stones history (OR=21.43,95%CI:13.02-35.28)may be the high risk factors duel to the analysis.Conlusion The related factors of the stone disease were smoking, hypertension, nephritis or nephrotic syndrome history, gout history, familial stones history, which should be aware of the dangers and prevention.
