Objective:To estimate the safety of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on the endometrial cancer (EC) patients after surgery through evidence-based medicine(EBM).Methods:A systematic literature review was conducted from inception to March 2016 included studies for the relationship between HRT use and the risk of endometrial cancer recurrence in the database such as Cochrane library, PubMed, EMbase, Ovid, CBM,WANFANG,VIP,CNKI DATABASE. And manual retrieval professional journals of obstetrics and gynecology. The RevMan5.3 software were used to analyze the data.Result:There are 8 studies being analyzed finally, totally 2162 endometrial cancer patients after surgery included 981 who used HRT and 1181 non-users. Study quality was evaluated by using the nine-star Newcastle-Ottawa scale (NOS). All studies were awarded five or more stars which means high quality. The result of heterogeneity examination shows I2<50%, In the absence of significant heterogeneity, a fixed effects model was used. The meta-analysis indicates no significant increase in the risk of recurrence in EC patients after surgery using HRT relative to the control group[OR=0.48,95%CI(0.30-0.78), P=0.003], the same as mortality [OR=0.47,95%CI(0.23-0.99), P=0.05].Conclusion:There was no evidence indicates that using HRT increase EC patients after surgery recurrence and mortality.
