Objective:To introduce the initial experience of "Easy First" strategy in laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy for borderline resectable pancreatic cancer. Methods:Analyze the data of patients with borderline resectable pancreatic cancer undergoing laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy. Results:From June 2013 to March 2015, there were 9 patients in total, with 4 for totally laparoscopic procedures,1 for laparoscopic assisted procedure,4 converted to open procedure. The mean operation time was (404±49)min, mean blood loss was (456± 348)ml. Of 9 patients,5 patients had postoperative complications, including 2 Grade B pancreatic fistula,1 biliary leakage,1 postoperative hemorrhage,1 abdominal infection. No complications related to major vascular repair were observed. The mean length of hospital stay was (24±10) days. The perioperative mortality was 0%. Mean follow-up was 12(4~24) months,7 patients were still living,1 patient died 3 months after surgery, and 1 suffered recurrence. Conclusion:For borderline resectable pancreatic cancer, "Easy First" strategy is practicable and safe in laparoscopic pancreticoduodenectomy.
