| Objective:1. To summarize and analyze the clinical features of endocardial fibroelastosis(EFE).2. To explore the diagnostic value of echocardiography in the diagnosis of endocardial fibroelastosis. Methods:Retrospective study was conducted on 29 cases with EFE admitted in the The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from August 2006 to March 2016.Their clinical features, physical signs, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, echocardiography examination were summarized. The left ventricular and left atrial diameter, ventricular endocardium and left ventricular ejection function were measured with echocardiography.Abserve the endocardim, the blood flow and the movement of the wall. The 29 plastic surgery childen were selected as control group. Analysis the echocardiography of the follow-up EFE children.Results:1ã€EFE cases with pneumonia, heart failure as the main performance, lack of specific clinical manifestations. The major abnormalities in electrocardiogram included sinus tachycardia, left ventricular high voltaged, left ventricular hypertrophy, T wave change, and ST-T change. The major abnormalities in Chest X-ray were the large cardiothoracic ratio and pneumonis. After treatment,13 cases were improved(75%),5 cases were discharged (25%) and 2 cases died(10%).2〠Echocardiography showed expanded left ventricular (100%), the endocardium of left ventricular were thick and its echo enhanced, left ventricular hypertrophy, mitral regurgitation (72.4%), and left ventricular systolic function decreased (66.5%). The 9 cases of secondary EFE mainly caused by abnormal left ventricular flow obstruction,5 cases of coarctation of aorta and aortic stenosis including.3ã€After treatment of EFE children, LVEF improved at first, the thickness of the heart of the second, the heart cavity increases the recovery of the latest. Conclusion:Endocardial fibroelastosis is lack of specific clinical manifestations, echocardiography can show the EFE typical morphological characteristics directly, can also find and identified with other cardiovascular malformation. Echocardiography has the characterstics of non-invasive, repeatable, high accuracy of diagnosis, and it has great clinical value for the diagnosis of EFE. |
