| Objective:This paper aims to use separated Cinnamon-cake moxibustion for the treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis: using the separated cinnamon cake on Dazhui Acupoint, Lung Acupoint(bilateral), Spleen Acupoint(bilateral), Kidney Acupoint(bilateral), under the clinically observation and comparison with the designed acupuncture control group, to analysis the efficacy of separated Cinnamon-cake moxibustion treatment for perennial allergic rhinitis and provide reliable option for clinical treatment with evidence. Methods: The cases were divided into treatment group and control group by a method of random number table, and 30 cases for each group. The treatment group received separated Cinnamon-cake moxibustion on Dazhui Acupoint, Lung Acupoint(bilateral), Spleen Acupoint(bilateral), Kidney Acupoint(bilateral), for once a day and five times a week. There were two days off in each week; ten times of single moxibustion formed one period, and two periods became one full treatment. The control group received acupuncture mainly on Yingxiang Acupointã€Bitong Acupointã€Yintan Acupointã€Hegu Acupoint(Acupuncture points were decided by the method of Dialectical acupoints)for once a day and five times a week. There were also two days off in each week; ten times of single moxibustion formed one period, and two periods became one full treatment. The observations of efficacy were at the end of first period and second period, as well as three months after the full treatment. An assessment of clinical results was carried out, also statistical analysis of the relative data. Results: 1ã€The statistical analysis of the two experimental groups respectively under the treatment of separated Cinnamon-cake moxibustion and acupuncture for perennial allergic rhinitis showed that the total effective rate of the treatment group right after the full treatment was 93.4%, while the control group was 83.4%, and there was significant difference in two groups after treatment(p<0.05) comparison. Statistical analysis of the two groups three months after the full treatment showed the total effective rate of the treatment group after full treatment was 86.7%, while the control group was 76.6%, and there was significant difference in two groups after treatment(p<0.05) comparison.2ã€Rating the Signs and symptoms of allergic rhinitis, compared the total scores of both indexes of the treatment group and the control group before the full treatment and after the treatment, the author found both were with significant difference(P<0.01). Comparisons of Signs total scores of the treatment group with the control group showed non-significant difference(P>0.05) after first period, while significant difference(P<0.05) after second period. Comparisons of total score of symptoms between two groups respectively after first period and second period showed significant difference(P<0.01).3ã€Intergral comparisons of all symptoms between two groups before the fell treatment showed non-significant difference(P>0.05), meant comparable. Intergral comparison of all symptoms between two groups before and after the full treatment showed that there were significant difference(P<0.01) on sneezing, runny nose, and blocked nose while non-significant difference(P>0.05) on nasal itching. Intergral comparison of all symptoms between two groups after the full treatment showed there were significant difference(P<0.01) on sneezing and running nose, while non-significant difference(P>0.05) on blocked nose and nasal itching.Conclusion:1ã€Both the separated cinnamon-cake moxibustion and acupuncture treatment have remarkable effect on perennial allergic rhinitis.2ã€From the aspects of short-term efficacy and long-term efficacy, the separated cinnamon-cake moxbustion has a better performance than acupuncture treatment. |
