| ObjectivesTo survey post-traumatic growth status in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE), discuss the influence factors of post-traumatic growth patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE), and to provide reference basis for intervention measures.MethodsThis study includes two parts.Part1 Quantitative research:Using the convenience sampling method to screen the patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) meeting the inclusion criteria as the research objects, conducting questionnaires and surveys by 3 days later after the admissions, using General Information Questionnaire(GIQ), Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS), Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ), Chinese Event Related Rumination inventory(CERRI) and the Simplified Chinese version of Post-traumatic Growth Inventory(SCPTGI) to survey all patients; making a statistical description with single factor analysis, correlation analysis and linear regression analysis in IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0Part2 Qualitative research:Guided by the phenomenology approach, adopting the purposive sampling method to extract patients with high post-traumatic growth score as research objects, which are a total of 16 cases of patients with SLE, collecting data with semi-structured interview, and analyze the data with colaizzi’s seven step method. Results The first part of the research1.The total post-traumatic growth score of all SLE patients was (60.72±16.91), the scores along each dimension ranked from high to low by the order of life feeling, personal strength, relating with others, new possibilities, and self-transformation.2. The total social support scores of SLE patients lied between 28~84, with an average of (63.49±10.14),and the domestic and international support scores were both high, the former and the latter of which was separately(23.16± 3.50)and (40.33±7.76).3. In MCMQ of all SLE patients, the avoidance scores higher than the national norm, while the confrontation and the resignation score lower than the national norm, the avoidance shows significant statistical difference compared with the national norm(P<0.05) by one sample t-test.4. the total score of ruminant meditation over all SLE patients may reached a maximum of 60 points, or achieve the minimum value of 0.5. The single factor analysis result of variances showed that, there were significant statistical differences in post-traumatic growth scores between patients with different states of illness, and different numbers of involving organs(P<0.05). Correlation analysis results showed that, the number of involving organs shows no relevance with self-transformation and relationships with others, it negatively correlates with the total growth score and the components along each dimension of it;the disease severity was negatively correlated with new possibilities. Total support, family support, international support, confrontation and avoidance were positively correlated with post-traumatic growth, and resignation negatively correlates with post-traumatic growth.6. Multi-factor regression analysis results showed that:coping types of confrontation and avoidance are positive correlation factors of Post-traumatic growth, while resignation is a negative correlation factor of Post-traumatic growth; factors in descending order of the influencing degree on Post-traumatic growth of SLE patients are respectively confrontation, avoidance and resignation. The Second part of the research(qualitative interviews):Four main themes were obtained by interview 16 patients of higher post-traumatic growth,:①reasonable response;②good social support;③positive personality traits;④empathy and the improvement of altruistic consciousness.Conclusions1.There exists a Post-traumatic growth of certain degree in SLE patients, the growth level is slightly higher than other domestic chronic diseases.2.Social support on SLE patients reaches a high level, while their coping type is different from the national norm, and the ERRI scale ranges largely.3.The state of illness, and the number of involving organs of SLE patients could affect the level of post-traumatic growth to some extent.4.Social supports on SLE patients and their medical coping styles are significantly associated with Post-traumatic growth. |
