Objective To understand the serum levels of cystatin C(Cys C) and pathogenic condition of coronary artery in postmenopausl women,and to investigate the correlation between serum levels of Cys C and coronary atherosclerotic heart disease(CHD).To provid certain reference value for the diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of CHD.Methods 185 postmenopaual women suspected with CHD who underwent coronary angiography(CAG) were selected in the Second Affiliated Hospital of AHMU from January 2014 to October 2014. The subjects were divided into control group(72 cases)and CHD group(113cases).Serum levels of Cys C were measured by nephelometric immunoassay.Serum levels of liver function,TG,TC,HDL-c, LDL-c,URC,Cr, BUN,Fib and other biochemical indicators were measured.The relationship between serum levels of Cys C and the pathogenic condition of CHD,the number of diseased vessels and the CHD Gensini scores was evaluated.Results(1)Compared with the control group,the serum levels of Cys C were higher in patients with CHD.(0.69±0.22mg/l vs. 0.54±0.07mg/l, P<0.05).The differences of Age,diabetes melitus(DM),hypertention(HT).Cr,HDL-c,Fib but URC, BUN, TG, TC,LDL-c between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)The serum levels of Cys C in the control group,stable angina(SA) group,unstable angina(UA)group and acute myocardial infarction( AMI) group were 0.54±0.07 mg/l,0.62±0.13mg/l,0.71±0.11 mg/l,0.80±0.46mg/l,respectively.The Gensini scores were 0.00(0.00),7.00(13.5),20.00(28.13),44.00(56.25),respectively.As the degree of the pathogenic condition increased, the serum levels of Cys C and Gensini scores increased.The differences among all groups were statistically significant.(3)The serum levels of Cys C in the control group,single-vessle disease group,double-vessle disease group and multi-vessle disease group were 0.54±0.07mg/l,0.62±0.11mg/l, 0.71± 0.13mg/l,0.80±0.35mg/l,respectively.The Gensini scores were 0.00(0.00),7.50(11.75), 18.00(19.00),48.00(58.50),respectively.As the number of diseased vessles increased, the serum levels of Cys C and Gensini scores increased.The differences among all groups were statistically significant.(4)The serum levels of Cys C were positively correlated with Gensini scores(r=0.643,P<0.05). The serum levels of Cys C were positively correlated with Age,HT,URC,Cr,BUN,TG,and the correlation coefficients were 0.264,0.237,0.223,0.338,0.196,0.479,respctivlely(P<0.05). The serum levels of Cys C were negatively correlated with HDL-c(r=-0.157,P<0.05).There were no correlations between the serum levels of Cys C and DM,TC,LDL-c,Fib(P>0.05).(5)After adjusting the influencing factors such as age,HDL and so on,multivariable stepwise regression analysis showed that Cys C also had significant correlations with the CHD Gensini scores(β=0.266,P<0.05).Conclusion1.There were correlations between serum levels of Cys C and CHD in postmenopausal women.The serum levels of Cys C maybe one of the laboratory indicators for the diagnosis of CHD.2.The serum levels of Cys C reflected the severity of CHD and contributed to the evaluation of CHD. |
