Clinical Aesthetic Effect Of Inverted L-shape Epicanthoplasty Combined With Blepharoplasty

Objective:To study the morphological changes of external eyes and the ratio of the measurement data of the eye and eyebrow before and after the inverted L-sharp epicanthoplasty combined with blepharoplasty.Methods:A total of 63 patients were performed with this inverted L-sharp epicanthoplasty combined with double-eyelid blepharoplasty and the follow-up began 2 months after the surgery with 56 follow-up patients. The height and the length and the physiognomic length of the eyelid and the length and angle of the eyelash were measured and compared with preoperation, as well as the distance of the inner canthus. The ratios relationship between the inner-canthus distance and the physiognomic eyelid breadth and the diameter of eyebrow and eye were also described.Result:The contours of the eyelid fissure and the double-eyelid are natural and the surgical scare is unconspicuous after 3 months of the operation. Changes in the palpebral fissure, the angel and length of the exposed eyelash were all significantly different (analyzed by paired-sample T test, P<0.01). The ratios of the important data such as Eyebrow Eye Spacing/Intercanthal Distance,Eyebrow Eye Spacing /Physiognomic Eyeslit Breadth,Physiognomic Eyeslit Breadth/Intercanthal Distance were about1:1. That is to say the vertical and horizontal line through the entocanthion and the vertical line through the gnomic ectocanthion combined with the horizontal line through the brow ridge formed a square structure.Conclusion:The obtained result showed that the contours of the entocanthions and the shape of the double eyelids were more nice after this operation. The proportional relation between the eyes and eyebrows were more natural and harmony. This inverted L-shape epicanthoplasty combined with blepharoplasty obtained satisfactory effect and deserved clinical promotion.
