Objective:To study the stress distribution of the supporting tissue with telescopic crown denturefor the restoration of the isolated tooth.Methods:Two-dimensional images of the mandible and dentition in healthy adults were scanned by CT. Three dimensional finite element model were established mandibular only with the canines oftelescopic crown denture and traditional removable denture. In the same vertical and oblique loadings, compared with abutment, periodontal membrane and edentulous alveolar ridgeofVonMisesequivalent stress. Results: The total stress of abutment, periodontal membrane of traditional removable denture were higher under vertical loading, and the stress concentration in the ring is obvious. The total stress of edentulous alveolar ridge in thetelescopic crown denture is slightly larger, but the stress distribution is uniform, and the stress concentration range is smaller. In the oblique loading, the total stress of abutment, periodontal membrane and edentulous alveolar ridge of these two ways were higer than vertical loading, the stress concentration is in the periodontal membrane of lingual neck, but the total stress of traditional removable denture is larger, and the stress concentration range is wider. Conclusion:The stress on the supporting tissue oftelescopic crown denture is more evenly distributed within a smaller range than that of traditional removable denture and it is more fit for the health of abutment, periodontal tissues and edentulous alveolar ridge. |
