Objective: To understand the rural primary and middle school students dietary nutrition and physical condition of Kashgar and Hotan, provide the basis for improving nutrition and physical status of local students. Methods: 1. To survey Students’ dietary nutrition intake status by using the “3d24 Hour Dietary Review ”.The results of dietary survey compared with Chinese residents of all ages daily nutrition dietary reference intakes(DRIs). 2. The physical condition of students were measured in accordance with the implementation of the "National Student Physical Health Standards".Physical investigation results use mean±standard to describe, and compared with the national level;3. Blood biochemical detection by hemiglobin cyanide measurement of hemoglobin concentration on each subject were determined. 4. Using SPSS 19.0 statistical software for data were statistically analyzed. Results: 1. The investigation of primary and secondary school students, livestock and poultry meat, vegetables, milk, eggs, beans intake lower than the recommended values; protein, fat, calcium, vitamin A, vitamin B2 intake was insufficient, carbohydrate intake is higher than normal. 2. The survey of students’ height, weight, standing long jump lower than the national average, the sitting body flexion, vital capacity, vital capacity / body mass index higher than the national average. 3. The survey of boys with malnutrition detection rate was 12.5%, 10.14% for girls, boys scored higher than girls, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05); By multivariate logistic regression analysis, students grade, family per capita income and livestock meat, protein and fat intake for the influence factors of malnutrition(P<0.05). 4. The survey of boys with overweight and obese detection rate was 13.96%, 6.25% for girls, boys scored higher than girls, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05); By multivariate logisticregression analysis, student gender, energy and fat intakes for overweight and obesity factors(P<0.05). 5. The investigation of boys with low hemoglobin detection rate was17.64%, 22.88% for girls, girls than boys, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05). By multivariate logistic regression analysis, student gender, grade and livestock meat, iron intake for the influence factors of low hemoglobin(P<0.05). Conclusion:1.The dietary structure of primary and middle school students is not reasonable, and the intake of nutrients is not balanced. 2. Investigation of students’ physical condition needs to be improved. 3. The survey of malnutrition detection rate is higher than the national level, livestock meat food intake and protein, fat intake is low can lead to malnutrition in the primary and middle school students, and high school students malnutrition more serious, with the increase of annual household income, students keep poor detection rate decreases.4. The prevalence of overweight and obesity among students is lower than that of the whole country, the boys are more likely to be overweight and obese, the higher energy and fat intake, the easier it is for students to be overweight and obese. 5. Students with higher detection rate of low hemoglobin, higher grade girls lower hemoglobin phenomenon is more serious, increase the intake of animal meat and iron, can improve the phenomenon of low hemoglobin.
