Objective:To compare the difference of therapeutic efficacy betwee n themother-child reinforcing-reducing law and the normal acupuncture f or treatment of migraine with hyperactivity of the liver-yang.Methods:The 60 patients who conform to the standard were rando mly divided into the treatment group (the mother-child reinforcing-reduc ing law group,30 cases) and the control group (the normal acupuncture group,30 cases), The twirling and lifting-thrusting for reducing at Ba i-Hui, Feng-Chi, Tou-Wei were used in the two groups, reinforcing at F u-Liu and reducing at Xing-Jian in the treatment group, reinforcing at Tai-Xi and reducing at Tai-Chong, Xia-Xi in the control group. Once da ily,the treatment session was 4 weeks, assess the efficacy by using Hea dache symptom score.Results:1.Before and After treatment, Headache symptom score were decrea sed significantly in the two groups (all P<0.05).2.There was a statistically significant pre-/post-tretment difference i n the headache symptom score difference value between the treatment a nd control groups (P< 0.05).The decreasing degree of Headache sympto m score in the the treatment group was more obvious than that in the control group.3.The markedly effective rate of 66.6%(20/30) in the the treatment group was superior to that of 36.6%(11/30) in the control group(P<0.0 5)Conclusion:1.The approach of mother-child reinforcing-reducing in treating mig raine of the liver-yang hyperactivity was ramarkably effective and reliab le as well as the control group.2.The efficacy of the mother-child reinforcing-reducing law for mig raineof the liver-yang hyperactivity was superior to that of the normal acupuncture.
