The Effects Of Niao Lu Jing Mixture On The Factors Of Stone Formation In Patients’ Urine Of Idiopathic Calcium Oxalate Stones

Objective The Purpose of this study was to explore the effects of Niao Lu Jing mixture(NLJM) on urinary factors of idiopathic calcium oxalate stones (ICS), to understand of its mechanism, in order to provide the theoretical basis for its clinical application and clinical promotion.Methods 60 cases of patients with ICS were selected in our hospital from May 2015 to October 2015, according to the syndrome differentiation typing theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine is divided into 30 cases of accumulated dampness-heat,30 cases of qi-stagnancy and blood stasis,30 cases of syndrome of deficiency of kidney, niao lu jing mixture I, niao lu jing mixture Ⅱ, niao lu jing mixture Ⅲ, were administered to the three treating groups for four weeks, respectively. The levels of 24-hour urinary stone risk factors before and one month after the treatment were measured and compared.Results After 1 month ’treatment, accumulated dampness-heat group the urine output, urinary citrate of the group increased significantly and pH of urine, urinary oxalate and urinary calcium decreased (P<0.05), but no significant difference was found in the levels of glycosaminoglycan (P>0.05), qi-stagnancy and blood stasis group the urine output, urinary citrate of the group increased significantly and pH of urine, urinary oxalate and urinary calcium decreased (P<0.05), but no significant difference was found in the levels of glycosaminoglycan (P>0.05), syndrome of deficiency of kidney group the urine output, urinary citrate of the group increased significantly and urinary oxalate and urinary calcium decreased (P<0.05), but no significant difference was found in the levels of pH of urine,and glycosaminoglycan (P>0.05).Conclusion niao lu jing mixture could effectively increase the the urine output and urinary cirtrate, decrease the excretion of urinary calcium and urinary oxalate, adjust Ph in the treatment of patients with ICS,which may be useful to decrease the risk of recurrence of patients with idiopathic calcium stone underwent calculus removed surgery.
