Clinical Observation On Efficacy Of Treatment Of Light Alopecia Areata With Sheng Fa Tincture

Objective:Through clinical observation on the efficacy, explore and discuss the efficacy and safety of the treatment of light alopecia areata with Sheng Fa Tincture, in order to provide a new medicine which is effective, safe, cheap and can be long-term used for light alopecia areata.Method:72 qualify cases were selected and divided into two groups according to the principle of randomized control. Treatment group 36 cases, were treated with external application of Sheng Fa Tincture; control group 36 cases, were treated with external application of 2% minoxidil solution, including 2 cases of loss. Two groups were treated for three courses. Observe SALT scores before and after treatment. And observe adverse reaction and relapse rate. Measurements of each group were statistically analyzed, all results were statistically analyzed by SPSS17.0, and efficacies were determined.Results:The excellence rate of treatment group is 52.8%, the total effective rate is 97.2%; the excellence rate is 29.4%, in the control group and the total effective rate is 94.2%. After the statistical analysis, the differences of therapeutic efficacy between the two groups have no statistical significance(p>0.05); the significant efficiency with statistical significant (p<0.05), indicating that the treatment group has special effects, can shorten the course of treatment. In the 4 week after the treatment, the SALT scores of both groups before and after treatment decline and there is significant difference (p<0.05), which means the treatments of both group are of effective. The SALT scores of both group shows a decline trend during the treatment, compare the grade of the two groups in 12 week, which has statistical significance (p<0.05), which means as the treatment continuing, the efficacy of treatment group is better than the control group. In the process of clinical observation, there is no adverse reaction in the treatment group; 2 cases of the control group appeared mild adverse reaction with no treatment who can continue to be cured. The difference of adverse reaction has no significant between the two groups (p<0.05).Conclusion:1.The efficacy of the treatment of light alopecia areata with Sheng Fa Tincture is definite, which can shorten the course of treatment. 2. Sheng Fa Tincture is effective, safe and cheap in treatment of light alopecia areata, which is worth being further promoted in the clinic.
