Research On Standardization Of Foundation Treatment Of Combined Periodontal-endodontic Lesions

Objectives:Through surveys to Shanxi Medical University hospital of medical basic treatment of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions, judging standard therapy in the treatment of clinical importance.Methods:Collecting March 2013 to November 2014 to Shanxi Medical University Hospital for dental and periodontal subjects presenting cases of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions. The diagnostic criteria are subject to Professor Meng Huanxin of periodontology.Divided into three groups: lesions from the pulp of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions, lesions from periodontal of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions and true combined periodontal-endodontic lesions. therapeuticschedule of basic treatment mainly to Professor Yan Fu Hua published in Chinese Journal of Dentistry of the standardized treatment of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions. By collecting referral patients at 3months after treatment, as the results of based treatment, such as teeth tooth periodontal,dental pulp, x ray and other to judge the effect of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions. And by analyzing cases of success and failure factors, to determine the standard treatment in the meaning.Results:Collected 135 combined periodontal-endodontic lesions of patients with 70 males,65 females. 40~60 for ages is high risk stage, in total of 98 people, accounting for 72.6%.Distribution of the teeth for the anterior is 2 example, premolars in 26 cases, molars in107 cases. Premolar in 22 cases, a success rate of 84.6%.61 cases of molars, success rate of 57%. Review the 135 patients after 12 months, Researchers have found that Successful treatment for 85 cases, Treatment failures in 50 cases, and the results are analyzed. In case of success, diseases derived from the pulp of 23 cases. Diseases derived from periodontal of 42 cases. Diseases derived from periodontal and pulp of 20 cases. In the case of failure, diseases derived from the pulp of 5 cases. Diseases derived from periodontal of 27 cases. Diseases derived from periodontal and pulp of 18 cases. In the worst-case analysis, root canal treatment is failed in 20 cases, in total number of 40%.Periodontal bascal therapy failure is 19 cases, in total number of 38%. Cooperated without periodontal surgery failure is 7 cases. in total number of 14%. Inadequate treatment is 2 cases, in total number of 4%. and other factors caused the failure of 4 cases,in total number of 8%.Conclusion:1.Regardless of the source of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions,it is recommended that root canal therapy.2.Irregular endodontic and periodontal therapy is a major cause of ineffective treatment of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions based factors.3.Regardless of the source of combined periodontal-endodontic lesions,standardized basic therapy helps to improve the success rate of treatment, postoperative prognosis of periodontal treatment and check regularly for disease is equally important.4.Periodontal surgery combined with cannot be ignored.
