Application Of Gum Induction In The Anterior Maxillary Implant Esthetic Restoration

Objective:To observe and evaluate the influences of gum induction in antetior maxillary implant esthetic restoration. The maxillary anterior region is an important aesthetics region, aesthetics requirements including crown shape of implant denture and perimplant soft tissue appearance。The implants will be restortated with temporary crowns to guide the form of gum,which could improve the form of gum and the aesthetic effect of the implant prosthesie in the anterior maxilla,so we can observe and evaluate the influences of gum induction in antetior maxillary implant esthetic restoration. Methods:From October 2011 to October 2013, in our study there were 25 cases of anterior maxillary implant prosthesis patients. The implants were restortated with temporary crowns to guide the form of gum. After 6 months,the temporary crowns were restored with permanent repairs, such as all ceramic crowns or noble metal porcelain crowns on the basis of gingivalmorphology.Patient satisfaction VAS( at the beginning of temporary repair, repair is completed, 1 year after permanent permanent repair), implant survival rate, each time statistics of index of gingival papilla( at the beginning of temporary repair, repair is completed, 1 year after permanent permanent repair), and peri-imtplant fullness evaluation were used to evaluate the effects of the restorations 1 year later. Results:After 1 year,index of gingival papilla showed that Degree 0 was found in 0 patient, 2 in DegreeⅠ,13 in DegreeⅡ,10 in DegreeⅢ,0 in DegreeⅣ. All implants were retained.Peri-imtplant fullness evaluation showed that Degree 0 was found in 0 patient as well 25 in DegreeⅠ,0 in DegreeⅡ. The patient satisfaction(visial analogue scale) score was a visual analog scale from 72 to 89 when repair was completed, and the average score was 82. The patient satisfaction score was a visual analog scale from 82 to 96 when repair was completed, and the average score was 91. The average score of patient satisfaction 1 year after permanent permanent repair was 93. Conclusions:Induction of maxillary anterior teeth gum improved peri implant gingival contourand aesthetic effect,and benefits antetior maxillary implant esthetic restoration.
