Objective: to investigate the advantages and efficacy of the Cooling and Activating Blood and Promoting Urination Chinese herbs upon treating cerebral hemorrhageMethods:select 80 cerebral hemorrhage patients of Shanxi Province hospital of TCM.Random grouping and parallel contrast were employed. The two groups were both treated with Western Medicine, while additionally, 40 patients in the treatment group also took Zhongfengkeli three times a day, two bags each time, by oral administration or nasal feeding. The absorbed velocity of the intracranial hematoma and the scores of the damaged nervous function were observed, and do the statistical analysis and comparison.Results:1.The neurological score of the treatment group is 24.33 ±8.12 before treatment, the posttreatment score is 7.38±2.13; and that of the control group are respectively 24.61±8.29 and 13.25±3.76. The scores of the two group are decreased, the posttreatment score is significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group( P < 0.05)2. Comparison of the clinical efficacy: the effective rate of the two group is respectively 92.5% and 75.0%. And the difference of the clinical effects between the two group is obvious( P < 0.01)3. The two groups had obvious therapeutic effect for hematoma, with the best therapeutic effect in the treatment group( P < 0.05)4. Safty result: there is no significant difference of security target before and after treatment, such as liver and kidney functions. Zhongfengkeli is proved to be safe and non-toxic.Conclusion: the effect of zhongfengkeli combined with western medicine is better than simple western medicine on treating cerebral hemorrhage. zhongfengkeli significantly improves the living quality of cerebral hemorrhage patients. This experiment provide an evidence for clinical application.
