The Effect Of Folic Acid Combined With VitB12 On Intimamedia Thickness Of Patients With Cerebral Infarction

Objective To observe the effect of Folic acid Combined with Vit B12 on intimamedia thickness of patients with cerebral infarction,in order to provide the basis for Clinical prevention and treatment of patients with cerebral infarction.Methods The 128 patients with cerebral infarction and High homocysteine levels were divided into two groups randomly,one was the Experimental group,the other was the control group.Both of them were given usual treatment.Meanwhile,Folic acid Combined with Vit B12 were added to the Experimental group(Folic acid Combined 10 mg tid、Vit B12 50 ug tid).Both were treated for 6 months. Two groups need to detect the patients’ intimamedia thickness by Color Doppler ultrasonography and the level of homocysteine.Results Compared to the control group, Experimental group is Significantly better in the reduction of intimamedia thickness and level of homocysteine.Conclusion Folic acid Combined with Vit B12 can Effectively reduce the intimamedia thickness and level of homocysteine,furthemore,it can prevent occurrence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events.
