Objectives To explore radial-scissorsing capsule edge in preventing capsule contraction syndrome and impact of visual function.Methods Eighty-two age-related cataract with type 2 diabetes eyes in 78 patients were included.They were divided into scissorsing capsule group( SCG) 38 cases(41eyes) and control group(CG) 40 cases(41eyes). Two group were received phacoemulsificatiotr and implanted into Acry Sof IQ(SN60WF) IOL. The capsulorhexis size was recorded during operation. Radial-scissorsing uniformly eight place along the capsule edges each quadrant and extend 1mm.The follow up period was 3 months. The capsule shape,capsule diameter, IOL position was compared in all patients.Results Anterior capsular mild fibrosis rate was 63.4% in the scissorsing capsule group,43.9% in the control group. Capsular opening diameter reduced 1-3mm was 29.3%in the scissorsing capsule group,39% in the control group.grossly fibrosis and IOL mild decentration was 7.3% in the scissorsing capsule group,12.2% in the control group.Conclusions Radial-scissorsing capsule edge was found to be effective in delaying the occurrence of anterior capsular contraction and prevent capsule contraction syndrome and no effect on visual function. |
