The Curative Effect Research Of The Decoction Of Qingfei Tongqiao On The Recovery Of Mucosal Morphology And Function After Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Objective:This subject aim to observe the therapeutic effect of the decoction of Qifei Tongqiao on the recovery of nasal mucosal morphology and function after functional endoscopic sinus surgery in Chronic sinusitis patients. and explore the advantages of the treatment of using traditional Chinese medicine on postoperative, For the treatment of using traditional Chinese medicine after FESS in chronic nasal sinusitis provides the certain clinical theory and practice support.Methods:A total of 60 patients from Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM during April 2014 to February 2015,who meet the diagnostic criteria and surgical indications about the Chronic rhinosinusitis are collected in the study. They are divided into groups 1 to 1, one called experimental group (30 cases) and another one called the control group (30 cases). After the functional endoscopic sinus surgery, two groups are treated with the same topical drugs, including using budesonide nasal spray and physiological sea water nasal irrigation, the experimental group are taken with the decoction of Qifei Tongqiao and the control group are taken with Oulongma Diji,VAS score is used in patients’clinical subjective symptoms, Lund-Kennedy score is used in the recovery of mucosal morphology, calculating each patient’s subjective symptom and the situation of polyp, edema, scar and incrustation in nasal endoscope before operation, discharged 1 week,4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks,and evaluating the comprehensive therapeutic effect when discharged 12 weeks.Results:1.The total effective rate of the two groups is 100% when discharged 12 weeks, the experimental group cure rate is 13.3%, and the control group cure rate is 10%, the difference comparing the two groups has no statistical significance (P> 0.05).2. The VAS total score of the experimental group is better than the control group when discharged 4 weeks (P< 0.05), single score of rhinorrhea is better than the control group (P< 0.01).3.The single score of edema of the experimental group when discharged 1 weeks is better than the control group (P< 0.05), total points of nasal endoscope and single score of rhinorrhea and scar of the experimental group when discharged 4 weeks are better than the control group (P< 0.01), single score of edema is better than the control group (P<0.05)Conclusion:Using the decoction of Qingfei Tongqiao after functional endoscopic sinus surgery can effectively ease the subjective symptoms, especially in the area of rhinorrhea, it can promote surgical cavity cleaning, reduce nasal mucosal inflammation, the effect is outstanding especially on the stage of mucosal outcome. It shows the traditional Chinese medicine has definitely curative effect and advantage on treating chronic nasal sinusitis after surgery, for the treatment of using traditional Chinese medicine in chronic nasal sinusitis after surgery provides a clinical basis.
