Purpose:RSA (reverse shoulder arthroplasty) is a new approach to reconstruct after resection of proximal humerus tumor. We review our proximal humerus tumor patients in two years in our hospital, analyzing the surgical methods, complications, postoperation function. Methods:collect the information of patients that be treated by RSA (Zimmer Trabecular MetalTM) in our hospital from January2013to December2014. There are3male and5female (mean age38years old, from25to61years old), with2cases of chondrosarcoma and6cases of giant cell tumor of bone. Evaluating the complication, postoperation function and the curative effect. Results:the mean follow-up is13months, form3to26months, with no recurrence, no dislocation or prosthetic loosening. The mean MSTS (Musculoskeletal Tumor Society) score is92%(from88%to95%), the mean active abduction is155°(from100°to175°), the mean active flexion is150°(from115°to170°).Conclusion:treating proximal humerus tumor with RSA can get a good postoperation function. It is suitable for the patient with rotator cuff deficiency and preservation of deltoid function. It’s an ideal approach to treat proximal humerus tumor.
