Objective:To investigate the immediate effect of superficial needling in treating cervical spondylosis.Method:Seventy patients with cervical spondylosis were randomized into two groups. The observation group received superficial needling, and the control group received conventional acupuncture,35 cases in each group.Tianzhu(BL 10),Shugu(BL 65),Houxi(SI 3),Jianjing(GB 21),Zhiyang(GV 9)were used in the two groups.By evaluating the visual analogue scale(VAS) and the clinical assessment scale for cervical spondylosis(CASCS) before the treatment,30 min and 24 hours after the treatment, confirm the time and the curative effect relations between the two groups.Result:1.In 30 minutes after treatment, the immediate effect of observation group was better than that of control group(P<0.01).In 24 hours after treatment, the immediate effect of control group was better than that of control observation group(P<0.01).2.There was significant difference of VAS and CASCS score before and after treatment(P<0.01).There was no difference in two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Superficial needling is effective for the treatment of cervical spondylosis. The clinical effect of superficial needling was better than conventional acupuncture in 30 minutes after treatment, and the immediately effect of conventional acupuncture was better than superficial needling in 24 hours after treatment.2.After treatment,VAS and CASCS of patients in both groups were significantly reduced, and there was no significant difference in two groups.
