Objective To compare the influence of conventional therapy,escitalopram and escitalopram combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy to the depression symptom and nerve functional rehabilitation in the treatment of post stroke depression.Methods A total of 90 patients with post-stroke depression were randomly divided into control group, escitalopram group and escitalopram combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy group. These groups were evaluated according to the HAMD score and ADL(BI) before and after 8-weeks treatment.Results After 8-weeks,the degree of depression reduced and the daily living ability improved in two therapy groups. The escitalopram combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy group was more effective.Conclusion Escitalopram and escitalopram combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy were in favor of not only controlling the post-stroke depression effectively,but also improving the daily living ability. The escitalopram combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy group was more effective.
