The Clinical Observation Of Rectangular Wires And Compound Resin Periodontal Splint On Fixing The Loosen Teeth

Objective: The teeth of patients with advanced periodontal disease become loose or shifting, and the patients do not accept excessively wearing and removing tooth tissues or using expensive treatment. After a perfect dental and periodontal treatment, to fix the loose teeth by using rectangular wires bracket and compound resin periodontal splint in order to restore the function of the teeth and observe immediate and long-term clinical results after repair.Methods: Collecting 10 clinical cases of periodontal disease. Case inclusion criteria:(1) Moderate and severe periodontitis not associating with dentition defects;(2)After joint treatment of conservative dentistry;(3) Patients’ subjective require on using simple minimally invasive treatment to fix the teeth. Case exclusion criteria:(1)Periodontitis is in advanced lesion or has not been controlled effectively;(2) Patients are unwilling to accept loose tooth fixation;(3) Patients do not coordinate the basic treatment, follow-up treatment or can not be regularly reviewed;(4) Systemic factors lead to the patients do not accept the related treatment.1. Checking conditions of conservative dentistry and evaluating periodontal disease extent by shooting X-ray.2. Teeth with combined periodontic-endodontic lesions are required to undergo rootcanal treatment.3. Basic treatment: effective gingival scaling technique on the teeth, subgingival curettage, flushing, root surface polishing, local applicator and oral health education and guidance to the patients.4. Observing periodontal conditions after 2-3 weeks, such as deep periodontal pocket is up to 5mm or more, or who has clinical bleeding needs probing periodontal flap surgery.5. After periodontal disease has been effectively controlled, to fix the loose teeth by using rectangular wires bracket and compound resin periodontal splint.Results: 10 cases of patients accepting treatment of rectangular wires bracket and compound resin periodontal splint were all diagnosed again after 6 or 12 months since the operation. To evaluate from the fixed effects, functional recovery, beautiful and comfortable, and 10 patients have indicated that loose tooth restored firm, cut bite chewing function exercised good, the teeth become comfortable and beautiful. The X-ray showed no significant absorption before the treatment of alveolar contrast therapy and some teeth appeared dense continuous bone white line.Conclusion: using rectangular wires bracket and compound resin periodontal splint has good clinical effects, chewing function has been significantly improved, the periodontal disease can be effectively alleviated, and play a positive role in periodontal disease prognosis.
