Objective:The study aimed at establishing sensitive, scientific, exercisable nursing quality evaluation indicators on the basis of evidence-based which will help to evaluate and monitor nursing quality in Chinese hospitals. Methods:Based on the rigorous retrieval strategy, using the Johns Hopkins level of evidence and quality evaluation method to analyse literatures, the nursing quality sensitivity indicators, their calculation formulas and data collection methods were summed up. Using Delphi method, according to the5Likert scale method, the initial formation of the importance of index entries, the rationality of the calculation formula and the operability of data collection methods were evaluated. By two rounds consultation of34Zhejiang experts, the sensitive nursing quality indicators with calculation formulas and data collection methods were established, which are suitable for China’s national condition. The enthusiasm coefficient of experts, the authority coefficient of experts, the coefficients of variation and the harmonization coefficient W were used to examine the reliability and representation of expert consultation.Results:The16items of nursing-sensitive quality indicators with connotation, calculation formulas, and data collection methods were established, which include satisfaction of nurses, the using of restraint, unplanned extubation and so on. After2rounds of expert consultation, the Enthusiasm Coefficient of experts was82.35%and84.85%(>60%). The Authority Coefficient of experts was0.88(>0.7). The Coefficients of variation of the importance of all items ranged from0.04to0.17, those of reasonability of calculation formulas of all items ranged from0.00to0.20, those of operability to collect data of all items ranged from0.00to0.22(<0.30).Conclusions:The16items of nursing-sensitive quality indicators with connotation, calculation formulas, and data collection methods were established. The reliability of the2rounds expert consultation showed that the expert consultations had good reliability and representation.
