Objective:To study the difference of Bone Mineral Density (BMD) and serum trace elements in Urumqi Han and Uygur 60 to 70 year old female. Methods:Sing MEDILINK production by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry measurements of bone mineral density were determined in Urumqi Han, Uygur 60 to 70 year old women each 300 and checked the trace elements in the serum calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron content in UnicelDxc 800 Synchron biochemical tester using American Beckman Kurt production. According to the different ethnic individuals are divided into 2 groups. Using SPSS 16 statistical software for statistical analysis, concluded that the mean standard difference, bone density, and various trace elements mean, standard deviation, t test and two groups of sample mean. Results:The Han 60 to 70 year old female BMD is 0.773±0.121 g/cm2. The Uygur 60 to 70 year old female BMD is 0.774±0.144 g/cm2. P value of the two group is more than 0.05. There was no significant difference between the two group in BMD. The serum trace element Fe of the Han 60 to 70 year old female is 19.5±6.18 umol/L. The serum trace element Fe of the Uygur 60 to 70 year old female is 14.1±2.88 umol/L. P value of the two group is less than 0.001. There was a significant difference between the two group in Fe of the serum trace element. There were no significant difference in other elements. Conclusion:In Urumqi City. There was a difference between the Han 60 to 70 year old female and the Uygur 60 to 70 year old female in Fe of the serum trace element.
