Objective:To investigate the distribution of breast invasive ductal carcinoma with different molecular subtypes, study the relationship between molecular subtypes and clinical pathological features, and analyze the expression and clinical significances of Ki67 index in breast cancer tissue with different molecular subtypes in Xinjiang area. Methods:Date of 621 patients with invasive ductal breast cancer treated in Affiliated Cancer Hospital, Xinjiang Medical University from January 2013 to December 2013 were analyzed retrospectively.Immunohistochernical (immunohistochemistry, IHC) method was used to detect the expresstion of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR), epidermal growth factor receptor-2(HER-2) and Ki67 of these patients to distinguish different molecular subtypes of breast cancer, and compared the statistics combining with the clinical pathological characteristics, Ki67 index of IDC. Results:There were significant differences between the molecular subtypes and age, tumor size, histological grade and vascular invasion (P< 0.05 for all). There were no differences between the molecular subtypes and lymph node metastasis, tumor pathological stage, menopausal status, as well as tumor location (P>0.05 for all). There were no correlations between the Ki67 expression and age, tumor size, lymph node metastasis, tumor pathological stage, menopausal status, vascular invasion, and tumor location(P> 0.05 for all). There were significant differences between the Ki67 expression and histological grade, the expression of HER-2, ER and PR(P< 0.001 for all). Among them, the Ki67 index of Basal-like subtype were significantly higher than HER-2 overexpression subtype, But, There was no difference between Basal-like subtype and HER-2 overexpression subtype (P> 0.05). There were significant differences on the relationship of subtypes of breast cancer and Ki67 between the Uygur and Han patients. Conclusion:There is a close relationship between invasive ductal carcinoma of different molecular subtypes and clinical pathological characteristics. There was certain correlation between Ki67 and clinicopathological characteristics of breast cancer, and co-detection of ER, PR, HER-2 and Ki67 may have a important significance for judging the prognosis of breast cancer.
