Further more, for the purposes of Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy promotion, in order to make it helpful to upgrade the quality of life for patients.MethodsCollect and selecting 60 cases of patients who are suffering from the illness of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Syndrome with obvious clinical signs and symptoms and in the weakness state of Spleen Meridian and Kidney Meridian in spine specialist in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM during the period of December of 2013 to March of 2015, equally divided Treatment group and Control (Chinese Medicine Therapy) group into 30 cases each randomly. Treatment group:14cases of male, female 16 cases; 35-72 years old, average aged 50.41 ±1.32, starting period of illness around 6 months-6.5 years, average 3.31 ±0.92 years; Control group:17 cases of male, female 13 cases; 37-71 years old, average aged 50.52+1.53, starting period of illness around 8 months-6.3 years, average 3.53±0.74 years. After collecting the clinical data of 60 target cases by March of 2015, then analyzed and Compared the outcomes of pre-treatment/post-treatment/follow-up (after all treatment completed one month) by using visual analogue scale (VAS) and Japanese Orthopedic Association Scores (JOA). Use SPSS19.0 statistical software for statistical analysis to analyze and compare the clinical efficacy between two groups and pre-treatment/post-treatment/follow-up (after all treatment completed one month). When P>0.05, means there is no significant difference in statistic study in comparison. When P<0.05, means there is significant difference in statistic study in comparison.ResultsIn comparison of two groups of gender/age/starting period of illness/ VAS and JOA scores of both groups before treatment, there is no significant difference in statistical study between two groups (P>0.05). The two groups are comparable. VAS and JOA scores of both groups shown obvious improvement in clinical efficacy after treatment received (P<0.05) as well as follow-up one month later. However, compare the two groups of patients in the VAS/JOA score/follow-up one month later/improved efficacy rates of post-treatment were no significant statistically difference (P> 0.05). No casualties of nerves injured or hematoma or infection reported in Treatment group. VAS and JOA scores of new puncture points/groups of Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy shown obvious improvement in clinical efficacy after treatment received (P<0.05).Conclusion60 cases of patients diagnosed with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Syndrome have obvious clinical signs and symptoms, also in the weakness state of Spleen Meridian and Kidney Meridian in both Treatment group and Control group, shown obvious improvement in clinical efficacy after treatment received. Compare the two groups of patients in the VAS/JOA score/improved efficacy rates of post-treatment were no significant statistically difference (P> 0.05). Nevertheless, the Treatment group is more efficient than the Control group in the performance of comfortable throughout the treatment process, and also less payment/time spending on treatment preparation, clinical signs and symptoms improvement getting much faster just same as Bo’s Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy experimented. Especially after performing new puncture points/groups of Abdominal Acupuncture Therapy, the patients can feel there is obvious "lightening" of the body and warmness of lower limbs. |
