Effect Of Treating Ventricular Premature Beat With Chaihu Plus Longgu Muli Decoction

ObjectiveTo explore the curative effect of Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction in clinical research of ventricular premature beat. It intends to find out some basis in traditional Chinese medicine treatment of VPB in easing patients’ symptoms, decreasing the number of VPB and improving patients’quality of life.MethodsIn the research,30 patients who are suffering from ventricular premature beat are asked to have clinical observation. First,They are just given regular treatment of the basic disease for 4 weeks. After that, they are given the treatment of Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction for 8 weeks. During the research, observing the changes of indexes included traditional Chinese medicine symptom integral,24-hour ambulatory electrocardiograph and quality of life score between control period and treatment period, then comparing and analysing with these datas.ResultsAnalysis of the overall curative effect:There are 30 cases in the research, the effective rate is 83.33%, and the syndrome integral of treatment period is much lower than the control period(P<0.05).The syndrome integral had no significant change in the control period, but all kinds of syndrome integral fell down in the treatment period, and differences between two periods are statistically meaningful(P<0.05).Chaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction can decrease the average number of VPB effectively(P<0.05).The patients get a higher score after the treatment. In the control period, there was no statistically significant difference in most dimensions. But the differences between pre-treatment and post-treatment in all dimensions are statistically meaningful(P<0.01).During the clinical observation, security indicators have no obvious changes, and adverse reactions are not involved.ConclusionChaihu plus Longgu Muli Decoction improves the symptoms of ventricular premature beat significantly,it reduces the number of VPB and improves the quality of life.
