ObjectiveThe purose of this study is to use Pharmacoeconomics methods for the first generation antipsychotics and the second generation antipsychotics, and thus established Pharmacoeconomics model drugs. Clinicians according to this model, based on the patient’s condition selection of efficient, low toxicity, economical treatments. This study has two meanings: on the one hand to provide theoretical guidance for the clinical use of drugs; on the other hand, can raise the level of clinical antipsychotic treatment, reduce public health costs and patients pocket expenses,in order to be more efficient, rational use of social medical resources, reduce social and medical costs. Which can be more efficient and rational use of social medical resources, reduce social and medical costs. Method428 cases of schizophrenia as an object of study, they were using five kinds of antipsychotic treatment, five kinds of drugs were: chlorpromazine group of 86 cases; Sulpiride group of 80 patients; 92 cases of Clozapine group; Risperidone group of 96 cases; 74 cases of Quetiapine. Psychiatrists use the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS),and Treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale(TESS) assess treatment efficacy and adverse drug reactions, with the cost of pharmacoeconomics- analyze effectiveness analysis to calculate the efficacy of various drugs, the average level of adverse reactions and drug economics. ResultsThe results of this study show that:(1) 5 kinds of antipsychotics efficiency > 70%, no significant difference in efficacy(X2=17.46, P>0.05).(2)Adverse reactions: Chlorpromazine, Sulpiride group and Clozapine group TESS score was significantly higher than Risperidone, Quetiapine group. Comparison between groups Chlorpromazine, Sulpiride was no significant difference between group and Clozapine group(P>0.05), no significant difference between Risperidone, Quetiapine group(P>0.05). However, Chlorpromazine, Clozapine and Sulpiride group and Risperidone group, there was a significant difference(P<0.01) Quetiapine group.(3) Direct costs, indirect costs were no hidden costs and total cost of Chlorpromazine, Sulpiride group and Clozapine group significant difference(P>0.05), no significant difference between Risperidone, Quetiapine group(P>0.05). Direct costs of Chlorpromazine, Sulpiride group and Clozapine group than Risperidone, Quetiapine group, a significant difference(P<0.05). Indirect and implicit costs Chlorpromazine, Sulpiride group and Clozapine group were higher than Risperidone, Quetiapine, and there is a significant difference(P<0.01). Chlorpromazine, Sulpiride group and Clozapine group, the total cost is higher than Risperidone, Quetiapine group, there was a significant difference between the two.(4)Atypical antipsychotics in cost than typical antipsychotic effect ratio(C / E) on more, indicating the latter is more advantageous in the treatment of schizophrenia drug selection. Conclusion(1) In the treatment of schizophrenia with efficiency, there is no significant difference of typical and atypical antipsychotic drugs.(2) In the treatment of schizophrenia adverse reactions, Adverse reactions antipsychotics more severe than non-classical antipsychotics..(3) Atypical antipsychotics is more suitable for clinical treatment of schizophrenia.(4) Pharmacoeconomics approach helps the treatment of schizophrenia, it helps to establish economic, effective drug treatment programs.
