A Clinical Study On The Chinese Medicine Syndrome Type Of Cancer-related Fatigue

Objective:By understanding the distribution regularity of clinical symptoms of TCM and summarizing the characteristics of TCM syndrome types in cancer-related fatigue,in order to provide clinical basis for TCM syndrome research on cancer-related fatigue.Methods:Questionnaire of TCM syndrome on cancer-related fatigue was formulated by the retrieval of pertinent literature on the syndrome or the syndrome type of cancer-related fatigue.Collecting the syndrome,tongue and pulse manifestation by clinical investigation on 354 cases of cancer-related fatigue patients.To analysis and summarize the characteristics of TCM syndrome types in cancer-related fatigue by statistical processing of data with cluster analysis.In order to facilitate the clinical analysis,this research only studied on the main syndrome type,complex syndrome or double syndrome were not involved.Results:TCM syndrome types in cancer-related fatigue were divided into five categories:asthenia of spleen and stomach syndrome,deficiency of qi and blood syndrome,liver and renal yin deficiency syndrome,liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome and spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome.while the asthenia of spleen and stomach syndrome(92,26.0%),deficiency of qi and blood syndrome(80,22.6%),liver and renal yin deficiency syndrome(68,19.2%),liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome(61,17.2%) and spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome(53,15.0%).Conclusion:This research shows that the common TCM syndrome type of cancer-related fatigue were asthenia of spleen and stomach syndrome,deficiency of qi and blood syndrome,liver and renal yin deficiency syndrome,liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome and spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome etc.The characteristics of TCM syndromes was deficiency syndrome by observing of the distribution characteristics of cancer-related fatigue,and liver,spleen and kidney were mainly involed.A fesible direction for future clinical research of cancer-related fatigue was provided by this observation.
