| Objective: By detecting the expressions of E-cadherin, β-catenin, and N-cadherin in serous ovarian cancers, ovarian serous benign tumors, borderline ovarian tumors and normal ovarian tissues, the relationships between the expressions of E-cadherin, β-catenin, and N-cadherin and the occurrence and development of the serous ovarian cancers are discussed. Besides, by detecting the relationship between the expressions of E-cadherin, β-catenin, and N-cadherin in serous ovarian cancers and the clinicpathological characteristics of serous ovarian cancers, the value of the expressions of the E-cadherin, β-catenin, and N-cadherin in the prognosis of the serous ovarian cancers are discussed. Methods: Immunohistochemical Elivision method is adopted to detect the expressions of E-cadherin, β-catenin, and N-cadherin in 60 serous ovarian cancers, 30 ovarian serous benign tumors, 27 borderline ovarian tumors and 30 normal ovarian tissues. The relationship between these three items and the clinicpathologic characteristics of the patients with serous ovarian cancers are also analyzed. Results: The positive rates of E-cadherin and β-catenin in serous ovarian cancers, borderline ovarian tumors, ovarian serous benign tumors and normal ovarian tissues are decreased. The differences of E-cadherin and β-catenin among serous ovarian cancers, borderline ovarian tumors, ovarian serous benign tumors and normal ovarian tissues are statistically significant(p < 0.05). However, the difference between benign ovarian tumors and ovarian serous benign tumors does not have statistical significance(p > 0.05). As for N-cadherin, the differences between serous ovarian cancers and ovarian serous benign tumors, ovarian serous benign tumors and normal ovarian tissues have statistical significance, The abnormal expressions of E-cadherin, β-catenin, and N-cadherin in serous ovarian cancers are all related to the surgical-pathological staging, tissue differentiation, distant metastasis and lymphatic metastasis, and the differences are statistically significant(p<0.05). By applying Spearman correlation analysis, the expressions of the three items in the same ovarian serous benign tumors sample are found that the expressions of E-cadherin, β-catenin and N-cadherin have significant positive correlations(r=0.289), and the expressions of β-catenin and N-cadherin have no correlations. Conclusion: E-cadherin, β-catenin and N-cadherin in normal ovarian tissun,. ovarian serous benign tumors, borderline ovarian tumors and serous ovarian cancer gradually increased, and abnormal expression in serous ovarian cancer surgery in –Case staging, histological grade, presence of distant metastasis and lymph node merastasis.Tip the abnormal expression of E-cadherin, β-catenin and N-cadherin may be involved in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer.Three simultaneous detection may serve as an important marker of prognosis of serous ovariancancer reveal the mechanism of a certain significance. |
