The Clinical Research For The Curative Effect Of Proctoclysis With "Qing Re Hua Tan Tong Fu Decoct" In Treating Encephalopathy Patients Complicated With Disturbance Of Consciousness

Objective:To observe the curative effect of proctoclysis with "Qing Re Hua Tan Tong Fu Decoct" in treating encephalopathy patients complicated with disturbance of consciousness.Methods:Sixty cases of encephalopathy patients complicated with disturba-nce of consciousness with syndrome of phlegm-fire blocking orifices were randomly devided into 2 groups,30 cases in control group and 30 cases in treatment group.Routine Western medicine combined with Phenolphthalein tablets/Enema were administrated to the cases of control group,proctoclysis with "Qing Re Hua Tan Tong Fu Decoct" and routine Western medicine were administrated to the cases of treatment group.The treatment cycle is 14 days.Changes of the curative effect of the two group,GCS score,level of consciousness,NIHSSscore,clinical efficacy,symptom scores and the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine were observed before and after treatment.Result:1.We found the rate of efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine of treatment group was 73.3%,and control group was 50.0%.The treatment group had an predominant difference compared with control group(P<0.05).2.Symptom scores of TCM:Both treatment group and control group were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05).The symptom scores of TCM were decreased more significantly in treatment group compared with control group(P<0.05),especially in expectoration,astriction and the red or crimson tongue.3.When ameliorating GCS score,level of consciousness,NIHSS score of patients who is in mild to moderate disturbance of consciousness,both treatment group and control group were significantly different before and after treatment(P<0.05).Treatment group also had significantly different compared with control group after treatment(P<0.05).4. When ameliorating GCS score,level of consciousness,NIHSS score of patients who is in severe disturbance of consciousness,both treatment group and control group were significantly different before and after treatment (P<0.05).However, treatment group had no significantly different compared with control group after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:When treating encephalopathy patients complicated with disturbance of consiousness with syndrome of phlegm-fire blocking orifices,proctoclysis with "Qing Re Hua Tan Tong Fu Decoct"not only can improve those clinical efficacy,symptom scores and the efficacy of TCM, but also can ameliorate GCS score,level of consciousness,NIHSS score of patient who is in mild to moderate disturbance of consciousness.
