Objective: Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV) is one of the most common adverse reactions during the treatment of malignant tumor patients, according to the time of its appearance, can be divided into three categories: acute nausea and vomiting, late-occurred nausea and vomiting, anticipatory nausea and vomiting. Among them, the duration of the late-occurred nausea and vomiting is relatively long, it has a greater influence on patients’ nutritional status and quality of life, and it is one of important factors in influencing chemotherapy patients’ quality of life and treatment compliance. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, this paper has a preliminary discussion on pathogenesis, characteristics and treatment principles of the late-occurred nausea and vomiting, and explores first application of Addition and Subtraction Sini Powder and Pinellia and Magnolia Decoction in treating late-occurred nausea and vomiting, evaluates its safety and clinical efficacy, provides new medicine evidence for prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy. Methods: 120 cases of malignant tumor chemotherapy patients, were randomly divided into two groups, including 60 cases of treatment group, 60 cases of the control group, the two groups were treated with cisplatin or oxaliplatin, which has obvious side effect of vomit. The control group was given conventional 5-HT receptor blockers for prevention of late-occurred nausea and vomiting, treatment group was treated with Addition and Subtraction of Sini Powder and Pinellia and Magnolia Decoction, observed nausea and vomiting integral, KPS score and other primary efficacy evaluation index of two groups before and after the treatment, and at the same time observed the blood routine, liver and kidney function and clinical adverse reactions.Results:1 Treatment group and control group before treatment, age, body weight, Karnofsky Performance Scores(KPS), degree of nausea, degree of vomiting, etc., are equivalent, there were no significantly statistical differences;2 Comparison of treatment effect on late-occurred nausea and vomiting: the total clinical efficacy of the treatment group was 90%, higher than that of the control group,70%, comparisons were significantly different(P<0.05); after chemotherapy, KPS score of the treatment group was obviously better than that of the control group, there were significant differences,(P<0.05);3 Safety comparison between the two groups: after treatment, two groups of patients did not occur severe hematological toxicity, there were no significant statistical difference in blood routine, liver and kidney function(P>0.05); 4. Comparison of toxic side effects between two groups of patients: the incidence of symptoms such as rash, diarrhea, constipation, galactorrhea, headache, dizziness in the treatment group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: Addition and Subtraction of Sini Powder and Pinellia and Magnolia Decoction in treating Chemotherapy-induced late-occurred nausea and vomiting has feasibility and advantages, and it can improve the quality of life of patients with malignant tumor, and makes toxicity tolerated, clinical application is safe and effective, is effective Chinese medicine prescription for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced late-occurred nausea and vomiting, provides new evidence for the prevention and treatment of related side effects of malignant tumor chemotherapy with traditional Chinese medicine.
