The Application Of Quality Control Circle Activity In Improving The Comfort Level Of Urology Postoperative Patients With Catheter Pulled

Object :The uncomfortable symptom is popular in Urology patients when they were pulled catheter.We analyze the cause of the uncomfortable symptoms when patients with catheter pulled and formulate the corresponding countermeasures,through the quality control circle(QCC) group activities,and compare the difference of patients’ comfort feeling with catheter pulled between before and after the QCC,discusses application effect in improving the comfort level with catheter pulled of QCC,so as to improve the comfort of patients with catheter pulled,provide better quality and more humanized nursing service for patients. Methods:The patients uncomfortable symptoms questionnaire,Wong-Baker facial pain rating scale,patient satisfaction questionnaire were used to investigate 109 cases of patients with catheter pulled in the uropoiesis surgical department,At the same time, the pull urine tube knowledge questionnaire was used to investigate 25 nurses of urology,we analyze the original data,calculate the proportion of patients uncomfortable when catheter pulled,to know the present situation.By QCC group activities,quality management tools were used,we parsed the symptoms in patients with catheter pulled,find out the main cause for all kinds of symptoms,and adopted corresponding measures for the problem,to solve the main factors affecting patients comfort level with catheter pulled. After the implementation of QCC activity,to evaluation of the implementation of the QCC activity effect by investigate 112 patients with catheter pulled about uncomfortable symptoms, pain score,and the high-quality service satisfaction survey; and investigate the 25 nurses for second time. Data was analyzed by SPSS17.0 software,statistical description,Chi-square tests,correlation analysis on data were used for statistical analysis. Results:1.There were 44 patients had uncomfortable symptoms in 109 cases of patients with catheter pulled before the implementation of QCC activity(June 16,2014 ~ July 15,2014),including 19 cases of pain, accounted for 43%,14 cases of urinary retention, accounted for 32%,9 cases of hematuria,accounted for 20.45%,1 case of consciously itch,accounted for 2.25%,1 case of frequently urinate,accounted for 2.25%;There were 25 patients had uncomfortable symptoms in 112 cases of patients in experimental group after implementing targeted measures of QCC activities(August 19, 2014 ~ September 20,2014),including 3 cases of pain,accounted for 18.75%,2 cases of urinary retention,accounted for 12.5%,7 cases of hematuria,accounted for 43.75%,2 case of consciously itch, accounted for 12.5%,2 case of frequently urinate, accounted for 12.5%.2.The difference of average age,gender,disease types forming were not statistically significant between two groups of patients before and after the QCC,the data of two group were comparable.3.After QCC activity,the symptoms of pain and urinary retention in catheter pulled patients were reduced,the difference were statistically significant,χ2(P) was 13.412(<0.001) and 10.059(0.002),the application of QCC activity improved the comfort level of patient’s with catheter pulled.4.Before QCC activity,the satisfaction score of patients was 90.35± 12.52,after the implementation of QCC activity,the satisfaction score of patients was 95.73±11.96, difference was statistically significant,t=3.267,P=0.001.Since the implementation of QCC activity,the satisfaction score of patient’s with catheter pulled for nursing service were higher.5.After training,the related knowledge of catheter pulled for nurse were significantly improved(t =7.354,P<0.001), mainly in the operation class.Conclusion:The application of QCC quality management tools could improve the comfort level of patient’s with catheter pulled,reduce the pain and urinary retention when catheter pulled,promote disease rehabilitation,and improve patient satisfaction for nursing service.Through QCC activity,the QCC members’ work enthusiasm,personal expression ability,creative thinking techniques of QCC,and team spirit were obviously improved,at the same time,the team cohesion of whole department staff were further improved, it’s worth to be used widely.
