| Objective To provide clinical reference by comparing the clinical effect of NovaSure endometrial ablation and transcervical resection of endometrium (TCRE) on the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding. Methods:A retrospective analysis from November2011to June2013in the first affiliated hospital of Jilin university.51patients who accepted the NovaSure endometrial ablation as study group (NovaSure group),55patients who accepted the TCRE as control group (TCRE group). We analysised patients’ clinical information before, during and after the operation. Results:we found that the age, period of suffering disease, uterine cavity size, hemoglobin, PBAC score, effective rate, satisfaction rates, the rate of abdominal pain, the rate of nausea and vomiting had no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). While the mean operation time of NovaSure group was1.48±0.31min, and the TCRE group was27.46±5.42min.There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).The mean days of hospitalization of NovaSure group were1.64±0.77days,and the TCRE group were3.86±1.35days. There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).The mean recovery time of NovaSure group was8.66±2.01hours,and the TCRE group was16.35±5.18days. There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).The amenorrhea rate of NovaSure group was75.56%, and the TCRE group was48.94%.There was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion: NovaSure endometrial ablation has little trauma, less pain, shorter operative time, rapid postoperative recovery.lt provides a safe and effective treatment option for the patients with AUB. |
