Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Stable bite plate in The Treatment of Anterior Temporomandibular Joint(TMJ) Disc displacement.,to Play a guiding significance for the clinical treatment. Methods:According to the criteria of inclusion and exclusion, Forty two cases with anterior TMJ disc displacement (with reduction or without reduction, the main symptoms are a reduction or alteration in the range of joint motion, articular sounds, tenderness on palpation, etc.)were diagnosed by a clinical examination, X-ray andthe magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)before processing, and the organic joint disease were ruled out by applying of imaging methods,Forty two cases were all treated with stable bite plate.we assessed the jaw opening,joint clicking, visual analogue scale(VAS) and helkimo index prior to splint therapy and after2,4,6week and3months-using. Results:It was distinct in the clinical efficacy of the forty two in the application of stable bite plate.after all the cases were treated with stable bite plate oral opening distance, VAS score, joint clicking and helkimo index had been improved obviously than before treatment (p<0.05), among twenty cases with joint clicking Thirteen cases were completely disappeared,Receive quite satisfactory clinical results. Conclusion:Stable bite plate can significantly relieve the joint pain and the joint clicking,improve the oral opening distance.An effective treatment of Anterior Temporomandibular Joint(TMJ) Disc displacement.
