Research Of Combined Sang-xing Decoction And Yangyin Qingfei Decoction To Treat Chronic Cough Attacked By Pathogenic Dryness In Singapore

Background:Singapore locates in the tropical rainforest climate, the weather changes in temperature frequently. When the body resistance declined, people become easier to be affected by cold evil, Pathogenic dampness, then catch a cold, cough and other exogenous diseases. In Singapore, most patients are used to consult the western medicine clinical or hospital. After one or two weeks, if the symptom of cough doesn’t alleviate, western medicine has no tactic, patients ask traditional Chinese medicine for help. Patients clinical feture include dry cough, little sputum or sticky phlegm which is hard to cough, cough is often accompanied with chest pain, dry mouth, lips, nose, pharynx, constipation, red tongue with little fluid, dry and thin white coat, rapaid, thready pulse and other symptoms. Such kind of patients, treatment according to different syndromes, belong to dryness evil invade the lung, clinically used SangXing decoction and Yangyin Qingfei Decoction, which obtain satisfactory curative effect. This topic, from theory aspect and clinical aspect, detect the mechanism and clinical curative effect of SangXing decoction and yangyin qingfei decoction in the treatment of chronic cough patients in Singapore which attacked by pathogenic dryness.Objective:evaluate the clinical curative effect of using combined Sang-Xing decoction and Yangyin Qingfei Decoction to treat chronic cough with dryness pathogenic invade the lung in Singapore, and its mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine.Methods:This study collected70cases of chronic cough which affected by dryness during2013.06-2014.03. All of the cases are coming from Zhong Hua hospital and the center of medical and health care of college of TCM in Singapore. Randomly divide the patients into two groups, the treatment group and the control group, each of the two groups has35patients. The treatment group:combined Sang-Xing decoction and Yangyin Qingfei Decoction, one package each time, two times a day, ten days a course of treatment; the control group:Zhi Sou powder, one package each time, twice day, ten days a course of treatment. The first day, the10th day, the20th day, the30th day, respectively, justify the main symptom, general symptoms, TCM clinical efficacy rate, and then analysis the statistics.Results:1.The total score of symptoms before treatment were compared with P=0.663>0.05in the treatment group and the control, comparable between groups;10days after treatment, two groups of cough symptom total score compared with those before treatment P=0.545>0.05, compared P=0.647>0.05group;20days after treatment, the total score and two groups of symptoms before treatment compared to p=0.037<0.05, comparison between groups, P=0.764>0.05treatment;30days later, integral and the treatment of the two groups total symptom before P=0.036<0.05. were compared between groups, P=0.025<0.05.2the treatment group and the control group before treatment, cough symptoms integral comparison P=0.764>0.05, comparable between the two groups;10days after treatment, two groups of cough symptom total score compared with those before treatment P=0.647>0.05, compared P=0.735>0.05group;20days after treatment, the total score and two groups of symptoms before treatment compared to P=0.036<0.05, comparison between groups, P=0.027<0.05;30days after treatment, and the treatment of the two groups total symptom score before P=0.016<0.05. were compared between groups, P=0.011<0.05.3after treatment, the experimental group and control group, P=0.023<0.05, the total effective rate of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group.Conclusion:combined Sang-Xing Decoction and Yangyin Qingfei Decoction can effectively relieve the clinical feature of chronic cough which attacked by pathogenic dryness. The method has certain clinical application value.
