Objective:Do the clinical observation of two methods for treating osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and discuss it’s effective mechanism.Methods:40cases of Middle-aged and the Elderly people’s osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures were chosen and randomly divided into two groups, Grouped them into20cases in the observer group and a control group of20cases. Observer group Applied surgery with postoperative PVP Chinese herb fumigation and decoction taken orally and functional training, control group Applied postoperative PVP surgery and functional exercise,through the quantitative grade of clinical symptoms and signs in both pre-treatment and post-treatment of the two groups, and use this grade as critical index to make clinical observation of clinical effect of the two groups simultaneously.Results:Experimental evaluation from the two aspects of the efficacy of the experimental group and control group differences,Before therapy, the visual analogue scale(VAS) in observer group and control group was8.0±0.9and8.1±0.8, after therapy it was1.8±0.7and2.0±1.0.there was no significant difference in two groups before therapy (P>0.05),while a distinct difference existed in two groups after therapy(P<0.05); Before therapy the Oswestry disability index in observer group and control group was0.76±0.05and0.75±0.0, after therapy it was0.09±0.03and0.13±0.02. there was no significant difference in two groups before therapy (P>0.05), while a distinct difference existed in two groups after therapy(P<0.05).Conclusions:①Compression fractures with good clinical efficacy by PVP surgical treatment of thoracolumbar. It not only can relieve pain patient waist, but also can allow early ambulation fracture patients.It can avoid the occurrence of postoperative complications related to.②Observer group is superior to control group in improving VAS..
