Objective: To investigate the clinical significance of subtemporaltranstentorial approach under CT bone window neuronavigation to excisingthe tumor in petroclival region. Methods: Compare16patients withoutusing navigation system and27patients using navigation system, excisingthe tumor in tumor in petroclival region by subtemporal transtentorialapproach. Results: Among the16patients using navigation system,6patients underwent total tumorectomy under microscope,8subtotaltumorectomy and2partial tumorectomy. Among the27patients usingnavigation system,16patients underwent total tumorectomy undermicroscope,10subtotal tumorectomy and1partial tumorectomy. Conclusions: the positioning of CT bone window neuronavigation isaccurate. Intraoperative real-time navigation helps to maximize the safeabrasion of the petrous bone, increase the exposure range safely, and reduceinjuries of the sigmoid sinus, bony semicircular canal and neurologicalfunctions, leading to improve the prognosis of the patients.
