| Objective:1. To establish and evaluate the reliability and the validityof the TBI caregiver attitude and knowledge of ADL questionnaire.2.Explore the effect of Care transitions coaching for ADL of traumatic braininjury patients with limb dysfunction.3.Explore the effect of Caretransitions coaching for traumatic brain injury caregiver attitudes andknowledge of ADL.Methods:1.TBI caregivers attitude and knowledge of ADLquestionnaire(TCAKAQ) was established based on the Literatures andexpert advice.52caregivers were investigated. The reliability and validityanalysis by Cronbach’s α, Spearman correlation, the experts rated theevaluation.2.Totally100discharged traumatic brain injury patients withlimb dysfunction were randomly divided into control group andintervention group according to their unit. Caregivers in control group weregiven the routine health education for discharge, intervention groupcaregivers were given the Care transitions coaching including dischargedPreparation and given the telephone follow-up health education at the first week, the third week and the fifth week after discharge. The ADL scores ofthe two groups patients and the TCAKAQ score between the two groupscaregivers were compared two months later.Results:1.The TCAKAQ indicators have reached the standard:test-retest reliability (ICC=0.820), internal consistency (Cronbach’s=0.887), construct validity factor analysis correlation (r>0.2).2.The ADLscores of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group,the TCAKAQ scores of intervention group was higher than that of thecontrol group, the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).Conclusions:1.The TCAKAQ was scientific and practical, it can beused for TBI caregivers to assess their knowledge and attitude of ADL.2.The Care transitions coaching improved ADL of TBI patients with limbdysfunction effectively, and also improved caregivers’ attitudes andknowledge of ADL. |
