Clinical Study Of Rotatory Reduction Manipulation In Treating Cervical Vertigo

ObjectiveCervical vertigo, also known as cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type (CSA), is a common disease in clinic. There are a lot of methods of treatment. Manipulation therapy for cervical vertigo, has received extensive attention. According to the theory of "bone staggered joint" concept. We use the rotatory reduction manipulation in treating vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis, and compared it with traction therapy, observed two groups of function symptoms score in the before and after the treatment, evaluate the efficacy of this manipulation in treating cervical vertigo. The purpose of this study is to provide an effective, inexpensive, noninvasive clinical method of treatment for cervical vertigo. And this method is non drug, and have characteristic of traditional Chinese medicine. It can relieve the suffering of patients and improve their quality of life, and reduce the economic burden on society and family.MethodsWe selected75patients met the inclusion criteria of subjects, random grouping, the treatment group was treated with manipulation, control group was treated with traction therapy. Two groups of patients were wearing neck brace after treatment, try not to be long time bow, and actively neck muscle exercise. In this study, the two groups before and after treatment were compared, and compared the change before and after treatment in each group, observed two groups of function symptoms score and "Neck rotation" signs in the before and after the treatment, evaluate the efficacy of this manipulation in treating cervical vertigo. Finally, collect data, use SPSS19.0statistical software analysis, draw the conclusion. ResultResults there were no significant difference in comparison of age, sex, course of disease, function symptoms score of the two groups of patients before treatment(P>0.05).The treatment group and the control group were significantly improved the function symptoms score(P<O.01), the effective rates were90%over, but the treatment group in the cure rate (26.3%) and significant efficiency significantly (55.3%) better than the control group(P<0.05).Comparison of the function symptoms score of observed and recorded in each time point of the two groups before and after treatment, there were significant difference by T-test (P<0.01). It explains that the patient’s symptoms and signs were obviously improved after treatment in both groups. The end of the two groups after treatment, comparison of the integral difference there were significant difference by T-test (P<0.05). It explains that the treatment group was better than the control group in the integral signs of the observation time point of function symptoms score. The treatment group is not only a better treatment than the control group, also have obvious advantages at the end of the treatment period (referral) symptoms of maintenance.After treatment, comparison between the treatment group and the control group in the score of main symptoms (vertigo) there were significant difference by T-test (P<0.05). While Neck pain and headache score there were no significant difference by T-test (P>0.05). It explains that the treatment group in the therapeutic effect on vertigo symptoms has obvious advantages, while the effect of neck pain and headache were similar between the two groups.ConclusionIn this study,through experimental study on75cases of clinical control study, the two groups of patients before and after treatment of cervical vertigo symptoms and functional scale results display that the treatment group have a better curative effect than the control group. It demonstrates that the efficacy of rotatory reduction manipulation on the exact nature of the CSA, and its superiority of therapy is proved to a certain extent.The results of this study show that rotatory reduction manipulation in treating vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis, obvious curative effect, safety, quickly, and the effect can maintain long. Its mechanism is likely to relieve muscle spasm, restoring physiological curvature of cervical spine, adjustment imbalance adjustment of the cervical spine, then improve the vertebral basilar ischemia.
