Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the locative rotatory spinal manipulation in supine position, improvement of cervical physiological bending and activity in patients with cervical spondylopathy. Methods One hundred and nine patients with cervical spondylopathy were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Fifty-four cases in the treatment group were all treated with locative rotatory spinal manipulation in supine position while another fifty-five cases in the control group received traditional manipulation. Results After two periods of treatment, the rates of efficacy were96.3%in treatment group and81.8%in control group. There was significant difference between the two methods (P<0.05). The cervical physiological bending was significantly improved in both two groups two weeks after treatment, but the extent of improvement in the treatment group was much higher than the control group (P<0.01); The cervical flextionã€extensionã€left rotation and right rotation were improved in both groups after treatment, but the therapeutic effect of the treatment group is obviously better than that of the control group (p<0.01); The cervical left lateral bending and right lateral bending were improved in both groups, but the therapeutic effect of the treatment group is better than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy and the improvement of cervical physiological bending and activity of the treatment group are superior to the control group, the locative rotatory spinal manipulation in supine position is an effective therapy for the cervical spondylopathy. |
