ObjectiveTo assess the risk of carotid artery stenosis who suffered coronary heart disease.Methodssearch MIDLINE and CNKI with the term “‘Carotid stenosis’/exp OR‘Cerebrovascular stenosis’/exp OR ‘Cerebrovascular disease’/exp AND‘Coronaryatherosclerotic heart disease’/exp AND [clinical research]/lim”、“‘Carotid stenosis’/exp OR ‘Cerebrovascular stenosis’/exp OR ‘Cerebrovascular disease’/exp AND‘CoronaryArtery Disease’/exp AND [clinical research]/lim”, and then find out the risk bymeta-analysis. Results:8studies were included which contained1714patients, The risk ofcarotid artery stenosis in patients with coronary heart disease was8.97times than inpatients with coronary heart disease, the OR are1.79,7.81,19.33,who suffered a lesionsof coronary2lesions and3lesions.ResultsCoronary heart disease patients are high-risk population of carotid artery stenosis, alsoconfirmed that atherosclerosis is a multisystem vascular lesions, a patient has greater riskof carotid artery stenosis who had more number of vessels with coronary arterystenosis,,relevant examination is necessary for carotid artery who had coronary arterydisease. ObjectiveTo assess the risk factors of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.Methodswe searched Medline and CNKI with the terms “cardiovascular”“cerebrovascular”and “risk factors”,find out the risk factors by meta-analysis.Results:126studies wereincluded,which47studies selected.10854patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovasculardisease were collected as compared with43018controls, Smoking, drinking, family history, hypertension, systolic pressure, diastolic pressure、TC、TG、HDL-C、HCL-C、fastingblood-glucose、BMI as risk factors significantly.Resultscardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease associated with multiple risk factors, someof them could be avoided if you have a healthy lifestyle. Objectiveinvestigated whether a carotid bruit predicts myocardial infarction and cardiovasculardeath.MethodsIn this meta-analysis, we searched Medline and Embase with the terms “carotidbruit”“myocardial cardiovascular”and “predict”. Bibliographies of all the retrieved articleswere also searched. Articles were included if they reported the incidence of myocardialinfarction or cardiovascular death in adults. Outcome variables were extracted in duplicateand included the rate of myocardial infarction and cardiovascular mortality. Quality of thearticles was independently assessed with the Hayden rating scheme. Data were pooled witha random effects model. Results: Of the22articles included,20(91%) used prospective cohorts. Our analysis included17295patients with62413.5patient-years of follow-up,with a median sample size of273patients (range38–4736) followed up for4years(2–7).The rate of myocardial infarction in patients with carotid bruits was3.69(95%CI2.97–5.40) per100patient-years (eight studies) compared with1.86(0.24–3.48) per100patient-years in those without bruits. Yearly rates of cardiovascular death were also higherin patients with bruits (16studies) than in those without (four studies)(2.85[2.16–3.54]per100patient-years vs1.11[0.45–1.76] per100patient-years).ResultsAuscultation for carotid bruits in patients at risk for heart disease could help selectthose who might benefit the most from an aggressive modification strategy forcardiovascular risk.
